Professional Experience

Cultural Coordinator
February 2025 – Present Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre - Osoyoos, BC

  • Coordinate cultural programming, exhibitions, and public events centered on syilx Okanagan heritage and desert ecology

  • Collaborate with Indigenous artists, Elders, and knowledge keepers to support community engagement and cultural preservation

  • Provide cultural consultation to external partners and organizations working with the Osoyoos Indian Band (OIB) and within the broader Okanagan Nation

  • Assist in the repatriation of cultural belongings to the Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre’s repository, working in alignment with community protocols and institutional partners

  • Support educational tours and outreach initiatives, integrating Indigenous perspectives into visitor experiences

  • Contribute to the curation and development of displays that reflect syilx Okanagan values, stories, and traditions

Curatorial Projects

February 2024 Frybread as Fok - Emily Carr University of Art & Design, Vancouver

Co-curated by Taylor Baptiste, Aaron Rice, Rylee Taje and Vance Wright, Frybread as Fok showcased recent works by Indigenous students, faculty, and staff from Emily Carr University. The exhibition featured over 80 artworks by 32 artists, offering a vibrant reflection of Indigenous presence and creativity within the university and broader community.

Apr 2024-Mar 2025 Interwoven Roots (tr̓ar̓ iʔ sʕax̌ʷip) - Maltwood Legacy Gallery, University of Victoria

An exhibition inspired by Elder Jane Stelkia’s childhood memories, exploring the legacy of Okanagan youth at the Inkameep Day School through contemporary installation, language revitalization, and Indigenous curatorial practice. Featuring members of the Osoyoos Indian Band in collaboration with Andrea Walsh.
